The May 2011 Citizen of the World Soiree
The members of the Gulf Coast Citizen Diplomacy Council enjoyed a wonderful evening overlooking the waters of Pensacola Bay alongside guests representing 19 different countries.Our gracious hostess, Marianne Estess, charmed the group and helped make everyone feel welcome.
The Citizen of the World Soiree is held annually to recognize a non-board member who gave the most time during the previous 12 months to our international visitors.This year, Barbara Vititow and Feeding the Hungry Plus of First United Methodist Church were selected for the honor as Barbara and her team met with dozens of visitors and provided volunteer opportunities for groups both large and small.
